SPRING UPDATE

Thankful that spring continues to blossom even as we feel the impact of the global Corona Virus pandemic around us from the air waves to the corner store. The Gallery will have an online Show starting in mid-May: Lion Roar: Energetic Healing and Flowing Compassion. More details to come. Meanwhile we now have beautiful cards for sale ($3.25 ea or 3 for $9) and three poets to recommend : Guy Jean (who is slated for the summer show with Janet Fredericks, if all goes well), Sue Burton (friend and gallery supporter), and Miriam O’Neal (sister of a North Hero local).

SPRING has started...

With Spring on its way, the Gallery normally moves forward on its Summer program details. We have three great exhibitions with workshops, performances, guest speakers, artists, poets and more slated. But with the impact of COVID-19 pandemic surrounding our lives, we are rethinking how GreenTARA functions and so are looking into other ways of providing access to the arts and community activities.

The first show would start mid-May with multiple activities over the Memorial Day weekend. But as March ends and April flowers pop up, May is still an unknown. We’ll keep you posted!

GREAT ICE - WINTER 2020

Check out the greaticevt.org website for specific activities! Meanwhile GreenTARA will open for hot cocoa and icy activities — such as the “Ice Beauty” slide show by Marilyn Maddison.

FRIDAY - 5pm thru the fireworks; SATURDAY - 3:30pm on - for a warm up after skiing or snowshoeing; and SUNDAY - 10am - before going out to play! Photos are from last year’s ice & snow.

Great Ice Festival - North Hero

Maybe this isn’t fair, but the photos are from last year. This year Ice is forming but then turns to slush. We do still have several weeks to go tho! So keep checking esp. the website <greaticevt.org>. GreenTARA will be open with Ice Music by Ben Mayock, “The Magic of Ice” Photographs by Marilyn Maddison, and hot cocoa. So stop by and play inside or on the frozen expanse of City Bay.

Wonderful Winter Retreat

The Yoga / Meditation Retreat is over but the energy and spirit generated continues in what we do. Hoping that the beauty and compassion we felt for our selves and our natural environment spread throughout everything we do. The Gallery continues to be a place a light - winter and summer!

Women’s Silent Winter Retreat January 17 - 18, 2020.

Slow to the world and come home to yourself in this deep winter silent retreat.
In a community of women by the shores of Lake Champlain you will be heart-fully
guided in practices of joyful chanting, mindful yoga, and sitting and walking
meditation inside and out in the winter landscape. Friday evening we will share a
potluck dinner and then we will be provided simple and delicious meals to nourish
our journey. In silence we listen to ourselves and 'wake up' to a fresh connection
with ourselves, each other, and the natural world. Come celebrate winter and
yourself!
